3 Common Symptoms Of Panic Attacks

By:

Millions of men and women suffer from panic attack symptoms every day. What can make it especially more difficult is when the person doesn't know that it's a panic attack, as opposed to the real thing. This attacks typically strike without warning.

Even more terrifying, they can strike while you are sleeping. The fear can be out of proportion to the symptoms if the person is not familiar with panic attacks. There are many different panic attack symptoms, but in this article we will only discuss a few of them.

Some of the extraordinary manifestations of a panic attack implying less physical sensations, at least in the impression we often think about them. Sometimes people experience symptoms involving feelings of "being unreal." There is a sensation of existing in worthlessness or sensations of marked separation from one's actual self. As you can conceive, that must be a really tough set of feelings to have to be faced with, plus it can only cause a person to be incredibly worried and tense. Others experience symptoms similar to those you have when coming down with the flu such as excessive sweat or having the chills. This can make a difficult situation even more confusing. Other similar feelings can also be related to panic attacks, as well. Only part of the reason to discuss these symptoms with your doctor is because you think you might be sick. The symptoms were probably due to a panic attack if they only last a short time and don't repeat again soon.

Chest pains are probably the worst type of panic attack symptoms. This is the worst symptom that you can experience because everyone knows what chest pains mean. Obviously, this will lead a person to think they are having a heart attack. People will typically call an ambulance or their doctor if they experience this symptom. Panic attacks can happen frequently or not, so this will most likely lead to the person getting their heart tested to make sure that there isn't a problem. It is possible to experience infrequent chest pains and have a real heart problem. This is why it's important to have this symptom checked by your doctor as soon as possible.

Studies show that men and women experience different symptoms of panic attacks. There are similarities to what each goes through, however. Men are about 50% less likely to suffer a panic attack. Regardless of what your particular symptoms are, you should make note of what they are, the best you can, and remember for the future so you can help to identify if you are having a panic attack, or not.
