You may think that life at law school will be like visiting your undergraduate school time all over again, spending lazy evenings with friends over a glass of coke, hanging out and partying around with friends. But days in law school aren't as easy as those at undergraduate schools.

*In undergraduate school,you generally just sit in the class and listen to the teacher's lectures, and if required, take down notes. But in law school, the way of learning is a bit different. Here the students are asked to actively participate in class discussions, and this is often difficult for students who are self conscious or shy.

*The way you are examined is also different in law school. In law school you are required to apply the knowledge you learn regarding law for a particular situation rather than just recitingmemorized information. And in law school, your opinions can be relevant but you have to apply law the right way to them.

*In law school you must always be well prepared. Ifyou are not prepared enough with the assignments, then you will be left behind.

*You must regularly attend all the lectures and take notes. This is a non-negotiable factor for preparing well. The more you attendyour classes the more prepared you will be. You will be able to remember and understand a concept well if you listen to it and write about it a number of times.

*In addition, when a professor assigns a task or a case you must not be afraid to go against the professor's view while discussing it. You must try and determine the reason why your professor may have included this case. You must think and analyze whether it has some link with the points or views he mentioned earlier.
