The 2007 Honda Accord remains one of the best choices for buyers looking for a sedan or coupe that offers great reliability. The car has built a reputation as one of the most quality engineered family themed sedans because nearly every aspect has been perfected. The Accord is safe, great on gas, looks sporty, and holds its resale value over the long haul. Possibly the only real competitor is the Toyota Camry which has also built a reputation for solid construction and reliability. After these two cars the most popular car segment (mid-size) is just about anybody's game.

Like previous model years the 2007 Accord is still offered in coupe and sedan body styles. To keep things easy for buyers Honda offers a specific set of features for each trim package. Luckily there are a great selection of packages for consumers to choose from, with something from the budget minded category up highly refined models. Trim packages available are the LX, EX, LX V6, EX-L, EX-L V6, a value package, and SE. The two main trim packages are the LX and EX, with the other packages being based off of those.

The value package is offered only on sedan body style cars and comes with a few respectable features. Standard on all value models is power windows, power locks, CD, AC, remote controlled locks, and cruise control. Basic LX packages are offered for both sedan and coupe cars and are offered with less than the value package sedans. Most LX models come with power windows and locks with other options being offered for more money. Moving up to the LX owners will get power mirrors, further enhanced audio systems, and other interior upgrades. SE (special edition) models come with larger 16 inch wheels, CD changers, audio controls on the steering wheels, sun roofs, heated mirrors, and power adjustable driver seats.

Most models can be upgraded from a 2.4 liter four cylinder engine to a 3.0 liter V6. The 4 cylinder produces an impressive 166 horsepower and 160 pound feet of torque while the V6 is capable of 253 horsepower and 232 pound feet of torque. A hybrid engine is also offered and puts out more power than either of the gasoline engines. The hybrid gets a fuel economy of 28 mpg city and 35 mpg highway, making it more similar to the four cylinder engine's fuel efficiency. V6 models get slightly lower numbers.

Standard safety features for the 2007 Honda Accord include antilock brakes, front side airbags, full length curtain airbags, and stability control on V6 models. The car is one of the safest in its class and garners very high scores in crash tests. Frontal impact scores are usual perfect while side impact scores are either 4 out of 5 stars or perfect.

The Accord is based off of a similar front suspension to its little brother (Civic) and handles similarly as well. Combine the superb handling with the interior comfort of the Accord's design and it's no wonder why this is one of the most popular cars available. Consumers looking for a mid-size family sedan that retains a sporty appearance with power under the hood need to consider one of these cars. Just because you need a larger car doesn't mean you have to sacrifice power and performance.
