Review: "2001 Maniacs" is made-up to be a re-establish of Herschell Gordon Lewis' "Two Thousand Maniacs". While I take part in in no way seen with the intention of film, the unruly with "2001 Maniacs" is with the intention of it's too predictable. .

The story follows 2 separate groups of little natives who are headed to Daytona Beach Fl. Designed for spring break. Unfortunately they happen across a diversion sign in the road and as every useful horror fan knows, "Detour" secret language at all times mean "danger" in a horror film. Before they know it, both groups of young adulthood take part in stumbled leading a hick town called "Pleasant Valley", everywhere the natives albeit out of the ordinary as torment, seem friendly adequate. Everything happens the way you would expect it to up until the ending, everywhere a little tad of creativity is made known as soon as the keep on two survivors are thrown into a fight designed for their lives.

It would've been a good transform of pace to take part in the individuals of Pleasant Valley have differing opinions in character more readily than having every single pretense the same as the other. The young adulthood of the film are portrayed a little tad better. "2001 Maniacs" does take part in it's useful points as well, and director Tim Sullivan who as well co-wrote the film with penner Chris Kobin - really knew how to be this a "horror movie". Lin Shaye gives a useful performance as Granny Boone despite incomplete screen period.

Cons: With the exception of Robert Englund as Mayor Buckman The villains weren't badass adequate, and like I declared in the evaluate everything is spelled unacceptable to the viewer too quickly as to what did you say? Will materialize to these kids and how. I as well did not like the end and the fetter of actions which be in charge of up to the films final end gone me shaking my head.

Overall: Average horror film with the intention of has a little items which save it from being a complete atrophy of period. Worth a rental as soon as it hits dvd protest rally 28th.
