10 Ways To Avoid Salmonella Poisoning On Holiday

Salmonella poisoning can hit anywhere, anytime, but it can be particularly distressing if you suffer salmonella poisoning on holiday.
Prevent Salmonella Poisoning on holiday by:


1.Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water before handling raw poultry or eggs.
2.Keep raw meat and fish away from other food, and if you are staying in an apartment, always keep raw food on the bottom shelf of the fridge so juices cannot drip onto other food below.
3.Never eat food in a holiday hotel that has been left out at room temperature for more than one hour. 8.Buffet foods at holiday hotels and on board cruise ships should be bought out in small batches to ensure it is kept hot/cold depending on the dish. Each dish should have its own serving spoon to ensure that any bacteria are not passed from one dish to another.
9.Holiday hotel barbecues can be another hazard. To avoid salmonella poisoning or norovirus on holiday, make sure all meat is cooked thoroughly and if you think it is raw, or undercooked, dont eat it.
