3.Complete a Keyword Analysis on the Competition
This lets you to optimize your website for the exact same keywords. Youll want to optimize the content on your site for these particular keywords more effectively than the competition. Keyword Density, how often a particular keyword appears in your website, iscrucial for getting high rankings in the search engines.


4.Do Steps 1 thru 3 AGAIN
Steps 1-3 are the foundation for search engine optimization ( SEO ). Use, but refrain from over using, your main keywords. The ones that appear in your Page Title and your Meta Description. You want these keywords toappear as soon as possible on the visible parts of your pages, using good grammar. Listing keywords/phrases at random on the page is a big NO NO. The text content should have correct grammar and read well with excellent flow. The more keywords you can place in your content, the higher the Keyword Density. Alt Tags and Header Tags increase your Keyword Density.

8. Submit Your Website to Major Search Engines
Your website needs to be sent into the major search engines so that it to be seen faster. Google, MSN, & Yahoo, along with other major websites, let you to submit your website for review. It is highly recommended to only submit a few pages a day to a couple of the major search engines. You do not want todo this daily. Submitting too often is a bad thing in the search engine world and can get you banned. Submit our pages a few times a week until you know you have been indexed.


9. Check on Your Indexing
Go to the search engine of your preference, enter the keyword/phrase you are interested in, and see if your site has been indexed. You may have to run down through a number of pages to find your URL. Once you find your URL, you then know that you have been indexed. It may take a few weeks in order to be indexed.


10. Be Persistant
SEO work is never done. Getting ranked in the search engines is only the start. The constant work needed to successfully rank high in the search engines never ends. Its because of the never ending nature of this process that most people fail at SEO.
