10 Signs That You Have Paradentosis

By:

Some people are under the wrong impression that illnesses on the gums or the teeth are less deadly. Actually, any diseases or illnesses which are developing in your body may be deadly, if they are not properly treated or prevented, and also can lead to situations which are much more serious. There are illnesses, such as gingivitis, which can occur if you are not properly treating your teeth by flossing and brushing them regularly. Gingivitis is generally caused by a lack of or bad oral hygiene. It is also really hard to detect, because your teeth might actually seem normal as it is a really common problem amongst the people. You can be sure that you have gingivitis if your gums have this dusky red color; you have bad breath, swollen gums and occasional bleeds even when you slightly brush your teeth. The pale pink color is the sign for a healthy gum.

Another factor, which causes serious problems, is decay in your teeth. Tooth decay may be commonly found amongst children as they often love to eat lots of sweets such as chocolates, candy and honey. Foods which are sweet-rich and things that are sticky and will cling to your teeths corners will most likely lead to decay of the teeth if not removed. In order to remove unwanted residues in your teeth, try to consume a lot of liquids and especially water, so that you may be sure that these residues are flushed away with the water. Of course, you cant just remove all the residues with a simple drinking of water. You still need to properly brush your teeth daily, and after each meal.

If you ignore such symptoms, you may be inviting an even worse condition in your mouth. It is called paradentosis or periodontal disease. It is a gum problem which is grave and damages the soft tissue and the bone which are holding your teeth. This ultimately may lead to the loss of your teeth or even worse increase in the risks of having heart attack, stroke and similar health diseases. Paradentosis is a disease which is common amongst people, despite the fact that a great part of it may be prevented. The early symptoms that you have paradentosis are quite similar to the gingivitis ones. Here they are:

- Your gums have bright red or purplish color;
- You have swollen gums;
- When you touch your gums they feel soft or tender;
- Your gums recede and that results in a longer than usual appearance of your teeth;
- There are spaces in between your teeth;
- Bad breath is produced by your mouth;
- You can feel a foul taste in your mouth;
- Your teeth start to feel loosened;
- There is formation of pus between your teeth and in your gums;
- You feel a sudden change in the way that your teeth fit together when eating food;

Paradentosis appears when inflammation or infection of the gums is not properly treated.
