Network Marketers listen and listen good! The rule breaking taking place on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, MySpace and Linked In is apauling. I completely understand wanting to get your message out to the world and enroll new distributors. But if you are going to use Social Networking sites to market your business you better follow these 10 simple rules.

1. NO SPAM- No pitching or selling products.
People join social networking sites to have a good time. It's like going to an online party. You want to share in what is happening in other people's lives, not hear about the compensation plan for your business. The latest pictures of your family, your vacation, or something funny or intriguing about you is what they are interested in.

2. No harassing friends and contacts. This is the fastest way to having no one to chat with. When you bombard your contacts on these sites with things that are all about you- you will never make any new friends, only enemies.

3. Be a good listener. People love to talk- so let them! Find out what they really want and then if you have something that might help them get past their issues, ask permission to show it to them. Always remember you have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason!

4. Add value to the site and community. When you give without want, you always get more in return. After you listen to what people want - give them the help they need for free. Always think give before get!

5. Give credit where credit is due. If you learn something amazing, find a video funny or a comment powerful, share it with others but be sure to include a thank you from the original author. Nothing makes you look better than when you make others look good.

6. Do not turn your profile into a huge advertisement for your company. Just try and do this with success. As soon as a new friend invite sees your giant billboard for a profile, they will click the decline friend request button so quick they won't even remember your name. You are what you should be marketing online, so show off what makes you special - not your business or company.

7. Build relationships. This is the key to this whole technique. When you learn to connect with others and get to know them for who they are, you will have success with Social Network Marketing. Getting people to know, like and trust you is the best way to move your business forward.

8. Take a real interest in others. Find people you share things in common with and learn from them. Bonding through shared interests is the best way to attract the right people into your business.

9. Be helpful. If you help enough people get what they want, you will always get what you want.

10. Be Yourself! You are the only you out there. What makes you special? What qualities make you unique? What do you offer that others don't? Brand You Inc. every time you are online and your business will be full of people that you love to work with.

So Network Marketers, follow these 10 Rules to Social Network marketing and you will not only have more fun online but you will meet the right people for you and your business.
