10 Reasons Why I Hate MLM Lead Capture Pages

After years of fighting with capture pages, creating compelling headlines and just the right offer, I realized I was doing this all wrong. I didn't need a MLM capture page to get people to opt in.

What I needed was a home for my business. Somewhere for people to come and get to know me. A place where I can post my latest content, connect with my readers, share my ideas, answer the questions I get asked all the time and brand myself and my leadership.

When this epiphany came to me I started to think about all the problems MLM capture pages create.

Here are my top 10 reasons why you should never use a capture page to build your MLM business.

1. No Opt In- Visitor is gone forever. If your offer isn't exactly what the visitor wants, they are gone and will never be heard from again. Why would they come back? Just to see your lame offer again?

2. No way to connect with visitors. MLM capture pages scream "Hey look at me and how awesome I am..." and people aren't interested in that. They want to know they can connect with you and get to know you for free before they join your business or even opt in.

3. They get NO SEO love. Google and friends hate them! No new content, no helpful content and they are only created to do one thing- pitch and sell something. With the "Big G" content is king- your capture page isn't even a peasant.

4. No helpful content provided. Help enough people get what they want and you will always get what you want in return- unless you are using a capture page. Then you have no way to help anyone but yourself and people know that.

5. They can only promote one offer at a time. Multiple streams of income are the only thing that can save you from going broke in this industry. Which means, if you are going to use capture pages, then you best be ready to create a bunch of them and then drive traffic to each of them separately. Have fun having no life- ever!

6. Difficult to create. Get your egg head on! Without taking a lot of time learning some basic coding or a design program you will have to pay someone to make these for you. Not the best use of your precious time and effort.

7. No online equity. One page and one page only. Not going to knock the socks off the search engines with a one page site. Good luck getting indexed for any keyword terms that matter.

8. No feedback can be given or questions can be asked. Looking like a leader is really easy when you can give social proof. People asking you questions, leaving feedback and comments is the best way to promote yourself, without promoting anything.

9. They piss people off! No one likes to be railroaded into believing they are about to get some great info for free and then they realize they have to give up their precious name and email first. Can you say back button?

10. No new content ever added. Nothing ever changes. No new offer, no new info, nothing interesting at all changes on your site. Which also means no new visitors without a ton of work or money to get them there.

Now that you understand my dislike for MLM capture pages you are probably wondering what I use instead. My Nerve Center. It is the easiest, most fun I have ever had online and better yet, is pouring loads of leads into my business and money into my account.

It is dead simple to maintain and everything on there is under my control. I can market to the exact audience I want to target, I get 1st page Google rankings in hours for free and I can interact with my readers and build relationships with them.
