The Local Enterprise Partnership in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire has created many opportunities for business investment and consequently a plethora of
job opportunities. Innumerous efforts are being put in to gain the Enterprise Zone status.
The Enterprise Zone status will mean more than 250 million of business rates will be aimed at providing local services with the purpose of serving the community therefore the money will not disappear into the national expenditure.
With the purpose to attract a new investment and jobs to the area, the Board passed a three pronged approach, the proposed zone is to be based on the Etruria Valley, with a particular focus on Keele University Science Park and the Hadleigh Business Park in Blythe Bridge. This three in one package offers a triangular interconnected platform that looks forward towards growth and the proposed strategy will specifically focus on different segments of the economy. Should the plan go ahead it will mean that around 10,000 jobs will be created by 2015.
The Enterprise Zone plan is being considered as a prospect to enhance prosperity. This endeavor is expected to bring a lot of new business opportunities to the city. The bid for this Enterprise Zone would give an entry to many companies in the area, thus increasing plenty of job opportunities.
