You guessed right, I promote my internet business opportunities by writing optimized articles, which I submit to some of the high ranking directories and to one submission service to get the publicity.

What I did was, that I researched the amounts of visitors and link clickers per article and per the search term used. The most popular article got over 2.100 visitors in only 9 months with the clicking rate of 13 %. It was interesting to notice, how big were the popularity differences.

1. The Selected Keywords.

Actually I did not notice any difference between the keywords, I mean, whether they were the low or high demand or the long or short tail ones. Of course those articles, which had been online for a couple of years had more visitors than those which were submitted last week.

I also found out one astonishing thing. That article directory could push some of my articles about the internet business opportunities to the first page at Google with the extremely high demand keyword. I had thought, that the articles, which do not have so many links, cannot rank high with the big keywords. Was this a sign, that the readers had bookmarked them? Maybe. The first page ranking explains the high visitor numbers of the best articles.

2. The Importance Of The Title.

The title is important. Even the articles, which did not ranked high could receive a lot of visitors, if the title was good. I found out, that the long titles worked best. Every title included the main article keyword. Maybe they made the reader to start reading and when they had started it was natural to read the whole article.

I had used odd numbers in many titles, like 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11, which worked nicely. The title copy, which included a question, an irritating one, got the popularity. The title copy should promise something easily, i.e. that it did not require so much from the reader point of view.

3. The Bookmarks.

That particular directory had installed a bookmarking buttons to all published articles, which were altogether 6 buttons. So I bookmarked each article, but do not know, how much traffic they brought. From my experience I knew, I had good experiences about most of them.

4. The Promise In The Title.

The article had many jobs. The most important ones were to be able to stand out from the crowd, to include the main keyword, to tell what the article is about and to promise a particular benefit to the target person. What he can get, when he will read the story? If I had managed to combine all these requirements together and the final title got a beautiful form, it brought a lot of visitors and clickers.

5. The Copy Spirit.

Despite of the fact, that the copy will not sell anything, the copy spirit must be enthusiastic and exiting. The reader must feel good vibrations, already when he sees the headline. The whole world is ran by the feelings and they will determine, whether the receiver will act or not. The texts, which I had managed to write with a good, winning spirit, worked best.
