"i'm Flat Broke And Don't Know What To Do"

By:

If you're out of money, flat broke, up against the wall, you're not powerless. And things aren't hopeless

But admittedly, when you feel almost paralyzed with worry and near-panic about what may be about to happen to you if you can't pay your bills, it's hard to think straight. The bank is on your case because you're overdrawn. The landlord is talking about eviction if you don't get the rent paid. You're afraid your power or phone will get cut off before you can catch up.

There's a reason, though, that you're feeling panicky. And that's because you're focusing almost totally on your problem - on what you don't have. But as a certain famous TV psychologist likes to ask, "How's that working for you?" Panic is a dead-end street, if ever there was one. So what to do? OK, here's the answer: STOP! Stop immediately all this obsessing over your money situation - and all the worrying over what might happen to you.

Instead, choose right now to spend all your time, all your energy, all your effort, on looking for a solution. Solutions aren't found by looking at the problem! And you can't look at both your problem and possible solutions at the same time. Not possible

A lot of people have been exactly where you are - broke, no money on the horizon, and bills piling up. One of those people who's been there, done that, is me! In times past, I've struggled too through very lean times - through long weeks without income. But you know what? I learned a lot from that. I learned what to do to solve my problem and fix my situation. I learned what works and what definitely doesn't.

Speaking of what does NOT work, I found that I needed to stay away from the "quick fix" of those easy, all-too-available payday or car title loans. Risky to the max. Want to possibly lose your car when you can't make a payment? And do you want to pay back two dollars for every dollar you're loaned

Once you shut off the scary voices in your head that tell you you're headed right off a cliff, you can begin to focus on brainstorming and finding solutions. And guess what? When you do that, you WILL find a way out! Without fail. Every time.

Even in far better times, I've never forgotten how it felt to have nothing and owe apparently everything. So I've spent a lot of time pulling together all the ideas that have worked like a charm for me, in curing a "flat broke" status - as well as scores of other ideas I've picked up from others who've been in similar situations. And I'd truly like to share all of that with you!
