If you ever tell someone that you are in information marketing, I guess you often get strange looks from people

Making money on the internet means to most people, E bay. I even found that some of the kids who were supposed to be 'good with computers' when told that I was an information marketer, were at a loss to understand what that meant.

A few years ago, when I first started, I had a number of problems I could not quite understand. One which bugged me for some time was FTP, yes, I know it's almost too simple, it's almost embarrassingly simple, but I was stuck at the time so I asked a local lad who was supposed to be an expert, and he hadn't a clue either, anything related to information marketing or selling on the internet, many of them do not seem to know what you are talking about.

But don't get me completely wrong here, I know some of those kids are geniuses when it comes to internet businesses, I just haven't met one.

Then you often get people who express interest in doing the same thing. They like the idea of working from home and want to know how they can do it too. The danger there is, of course that although they would like to escape their daily boring routine and become financially better off, many still feel secure in their little world and are reluctant, or lack the determination, to make the definite decision to escape from it.

There are so many advantages in working from home, but people still need to make the decision to go for it.

Most people running a business from home are doing it to make a living, and in many cases it is far more than that because many internet businesses are incredibly profitable.

Think of the other benefits. No premises to pay for and no running costs. The satisfaction of making money from your own efforts. No commuting, no traffic. No rates or rent. No staff with all the problems that can bring. No inventories, no stock. The list could go on and on, but the main advantages are of course, you are your own boss and all the profits are yours with which to live a completely different lifestyle.

A fully automated business is of course ideal, which will give you a residual income which allows you to do the things you may have always dreamed of.

I mentioned E bay earlier, but providing a service is so much easier and far less hassle than selling products online.

Providing you are prepared to put in some effort and determination, you can become a very good internet marketer.

You would be surprised how many internet millionaires there are out there who are really quite lazy and not that well educated, but they have shown persistence and determination.

It is important to find the right guidance, for the internet is constantly changing, and it is important to keep up with those changes. It is almost impossible to keep up with all the current changes on the internet by yourself.

You want a genuine mentor, not one who is just going to sell you his latest product to make you an overnight millionaire. Obviously, such a product does not exist and you should steer well clear of such claims.

This is where following the right marketing plan becomes important. If you can find a proven successful system then your chances of success are almost assured, providing, as I said, you are prepared to make the effort yourself and stick to that plan.

There are many highly qualified people out there who can guide you and answer all the problems you may have. I found the right people to guide me in internet marketing, and never looked back. Make sure you do too. Successful internet marketing is a great business to be in, but does require persistence and determination.

When you start to see success, you will be glad you made the effort and followed the right course.
