Shoppers looking for a washer that limits tumble dryer use may wish to consider one site's thoughts on the current Bosch range.
Buying a washing machine with a strong spin cycle could be more energy efficient in the long-term, it has been suggested.
A recent article posted on the Ideal website looked at a range of new models equipped with the latest features - and highlighted the current range of Bosch washing machines.
The manufacturer has a number of appliances that feature a drying cycle capable of 1,200 rpm and this was noted as having a significant impact on the amount of time the load will subsequently need in the tumble dryer.
It was also advised a good selection of programmes, in addition to the level of energy and water consumption, were "becoming more and more important to users".
"There are many things to consider when choosing a
washing machine," the site added.
Bosch's A-rated WAE2416SGB washing machine has a 1,200 rpm spin cycle, six kg wash load and a two-year manufacturer's warranty.

The faster the spin speed the greater the force created by the washing machine and the more water will be forced from your laundry during the spin cycle. The faster the spin speeds the drier your clothes will be when the cycle has finished, so the less time you will need to spend using the tumble dyer.
The spin efficiency rating is something else that you should take into consideration when buying your new washing machine. The spin performance efficiency rating runs from A-G, A is the most efficient spin on the market and G is the least. The efficiency is judged on the washing machines ability to remove water from your laundry during the spin cycle. If you want your laundry to be drier and to require less drying when the cycle is finished then you should look out for a washing machine with A rated spin efficiency.
Spin dryers use the same principle as a washing machine spin cycle to dry your clothes, although they use a much faster spin speed. So, you can see that spinning is a very effective method of removing water from your laundry.
