Two Buckeye children were burned Wednesday afternoon after pulling a hot water pot off the stove.
The boy, 4, and girl, 2, pulled the pot from the stove at their Buckeye home near 256th Place and Maricopa 85. They were in stable and good conditions, Buckeye Fire Department Chief Bob Costello said.
The boy had first-degree and serious second-degree burns on his side, lower back and flank area. He was treated at the scene and flown by helicopter to the Arizona Burn Center at the Maricopa Medical Center.
The girl had first-degree and some second-degree burns to an area on her stomach. She was taken by ground ambulance to the same center.
