Stunt Kites And Sport Kites

During summer people love to gather in different places, like camping and fishing. Others love to fly kites and some love to watch. Do you know that there are many different kinds of kites in the world? And the most common that you see in some places are what they call Stunt Kites and Sport Kites one in the same.

Well, children and adults love to fly and watch fly kites because they pretty amazing and can do some exciting things in the sky. Stunt kites are also known as sport kite, its a roughly delta shape controlled with two lines and offers the pilot the ability to steer the kite and perform tricks. But it has two lines to control the kite many other kite types have only one line.

The two lines are some-what similar to steering a bicycle. The two flying lines are connected to handles or straps on one end and connected to the bridle of the kite on the opposite end of the line. This will help to perform some acrobatic moves. You can control the kite by pulling on one line to make it turn in that direction; if you pull the right hand line the kite will turn to the right. These kites are easy to learn but tough to master.

Nowadays, people are getting in to this kind of sport; they hold competition events annually in United States and many other countries. Kite enthusiast gathered to this special kind of event to perform their best moves. In 1996 the AKA, STACK and AJSKA (All Japanese Sport kite association) formed the international Rule Book committee (IRBC) to standardize rules and processes. In competition, competitors are being judged by their performances in compulsory figures such as Ballet, which involves artistic interpretation of music.

Performances are done as individual, a pair of pilots or as a team. Team flying is the most interesting and most spectacular event. With up to eight pilots and stacked kites with tails flying within inches of each other and narrowly averting disaster, while performing all manner of figures and formation in the air.
