"We realised that we needed a shop front in order to make people understand a bit more about our brand," says Ms Ducas. "We opened our first store in the City (of London) in 1993. It was a tiny, 150-square-foot glass box.
"At the time nobody else was doing novelty cuff-links or concentrating on presents for men. That was our focus," Ms Ducas says. "We quickly developed into jewellery and other gifts for women. From there came the concept of being able to buy a gift for any age without breaking the bank."
