How To Save Money On Photo Printing Projects

By:

The majority of Americans have been clipping coupons to cut their shopping bills, but clicking on web coupons and using discount codes can also cut our online photo printing and photo book costs. Most of us wouldn't dream of paying retail at a brick and mortar store when items go on sale so frequently, and we can apply the concept when printing photos or making photo gifts online.

Making personalized photo gifts is a fun hobby, but it can get expensive. You may have wondered how you can make the same projects and save money. The key is getting discount promotions. The majority of the big web-based photo services such as My Publisher and Snapfish by HP send discount codes which allow you to reduce your costs. Frequently users will see a savings of anywhere from 10 to 40% or more, as promos change regularly. One of my favorite deals is buy-one-get-one-free, often called a "BOGO." Also popular with digital photo hobbyists are promo codes for free shipping. Usually you must make a minimum purchase to get shipping gratis; the required purchase amount varies by promotion.

How to Get Online Photo Discount Offers

Applying discounts is a no-brainer. Simply input the promotional code on the order page and the savings will show on your final amount. Where are the coupon codes listed? Sometimes you can find them right on the photo company's web site on their "special offers" page. But the secret is that all available coupons may not necessarily be listed there. Oftentimes you can find additional savings by doing a web search for Snapfish coupon or Shutterfly discount codes, for example. There are a number of sites that list promotional codes for photo companies as well as a myriad of other products.

Another great method of finding promotional codes is by signing up for a photo processor's email newsletter. Look for their emails with special deals in your inbox. A caveat: these deals are usually for a limited time so be careful that you don't miss the deadline. When I'm not in a hurry, I like to have my photobook or other project already designed and ready, then when a promo hits I just put it in my cart and enjoy the savings.

Apply these concepts and rejoice in the fact that you can still have your photo hobby but it won't break your budget.
