The biggest mistake that most people make when they order a custom military ring is to estimate the size of the ring finger. Many people will use the size of the wedding ring finger to estimate but this method is inaccurate most of the time. The ring fingers of the different hands are not the same size contrary to popular belief. Sometimes things work out to where they are but this is the exception rather than the rule. In all of my years of experience of fitting people with military rings the right ring finger is normally up to 1 size larger than the ring finger on the left hand. Most people think that it is because more people are right handed but I have seen this many times when the customer was left handed. I dont know if it has anything to do with the blood circulation on that side of the body or not but it is a fact.
One thing to keep in mind when you are seeking to find your ring size is the time of year and the weather. Fingers tend to swell during the hot summer months and shrink during the winter. The way to offset this is determined by the way you fit your ring. If you are sizing your finger during the summer you need to settle for a snug fit. Even so you dont want the fit to be too snug because as you get older your fingers will get thicker. You need to keep this in mind also.
When I am sizing the finger of a younger person I will always remind them that their fingers will grow thicker as they grow older so it may be a good decision to get a loose fit. The caveat to buying a loose fitting ring is that if you wear it every day you can lose it. A loose ring can fly off of the finger during times of intense activity.

If you ordered your ring 10 years ago and your finger has grown, you can still send it in for your free resizing. When we resize your custom military ring we basically remake it so it will be a brand new ring. If you have used your free resizing you can still have the work done again but there will be a minimal charge for the labor. You dont have to go to a jeweler to have your ring resized.

If you lose your warranty slip just call us and we will look up your ring order. After you have contacted us just send your ring back and we will make you a brand new one.
