Side effects are for example: too much stress, headaches, cramps, nausea, dizziness or an elevated blood glucose level. A systematic application of adrenaline products can cause serious cardiac and circulatory troubles. Depending on the dosage and the persons condition, side effects achieve a wide range from heart failure to heart attack and cardiac arrest. Due to the harmful effects it is not recommended for any athlete to use adrenaline products to improve his performance. The effect can be considered as doping.

Medicine has discovered this hormone for its special effect. In particular, the emergency medicine is one of the most important operators. For example, adrenaline during resuscitation has a life-saving effect. It is also used in case of serious shock, acute asthma attack and to stop local bleeding.
