The majority of visitors to Maui stay on the dry and sunny side of the island, the Lahaina / Kihei side. If you are contemplating this tour you are probably going to be staying or currently are in Kihei, Lahaina, Kannapali or in many of the other areas that are situated near to some of the most gorgeous sand beaches with incredible underwater life. Taking an ocean tour is something everyone highly recommends on Maui. The cruises sail through some incredible waters, often with picture perfect days.
Imagine and expect the exact opposite in and on the way to Hana along the North Shore. Soaring cliffs, rocky beaches, rain, waterfalls pouring down everywhere and small, treacherously skinny roads. It is not like anything you have experienced before, unless you have experienced it before. There are no dinner cruises along this part of Maui's coast or even casual snorkeling to be done here. It's rough, with some of the worlds largest waves, ridden only by the very best of the best surfers, many of them make their homes along this coast.
The land is very raw in Hana and there are few of the traditionally sandy beaches you'll find on the more southern sides of the island. The Northern beaches are spectacular; the various colors and raw natural setting. The black sand beach, as well as Hana's red and white sand beaches, are beautiful but you didn't come to Hana to go hang all day long at these beaches.
The experienced Hana traveler doesnt go to Hana to just hang out at a beach. We WILL take you to the black sand beach and check out some others but we think you would agree with us that going to the
Seven Pools found at Oheo Gulch of the National Park is so much better. It's part of the National Park for a very good reason. Valley Isle Excursions is about the Incredible Journey to Hana and no tour is complete without it. Other tour companies on Maui skip it but the State of Hawaii trusts Valley Isle Excursions to take visitors into the Pools and Park areas! We want you to discover Hawaii with us and all the best parts of the best Island... Maui No Ka Oi and we mean it. We leave nothing out.
Getting to the
Seven Pools is an incredible journey to and through Hana. We must travel just beyond Hana where the road is the smallest, the cliffs are the tallest, the waterfalls are the most beautiful and the rain forest is full of color, sounds, mystery and history. The Valley Isle Excursions Maui Tour shows you everything fabulous the Valley Isle has to offer.
