5 Simply Delicious Cupcakes for Kiddies
The most delicious cupcake recipes, certain to be kid approved, can be easily prepared using a packaged cake mix. Baking cakes from cake mixes result in a very moist, sweet treats for birthdays, holidays or any special occasion.

1. Chocolate Covered Cherry Mountain Cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350*

Ingredients:

12 red cupcake liners

One box chocolate fudge cake mix



Follow the directions on the box for cupcakes

Stir in one 160z. can of cherry pie filling

Coat each muffin cup with cooking spray to secure the liners.

Spoon batter into prepared muffin pans lined with red foil liners. Fill 3/4 full to allow room for rising during baking.

Bake according to directions on box. Remove from oven and let cool on rack for 15 minutes.



Frosting Directions:

12 chocolate covered cherry candies

Two containers whipped chocolate flavor frosting

One package of easy squeeze white icing

Frost cupcakes with the whipped frosting and swirl as if creating a mound. With the white decorator gel, make a snow cap at the very top of the mound. Store any leftover frosting in the refrigerator. Add one chocolate covered cherry to the very top in the center. Call the kids, but not before grabbing a cupcake for yourself!



Little girls love tea parties, so why not bake them up a batch of princess theme cupcakes?



2. Princess Tia Cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350*

Ingredients:

One box of rainbow chip cake mix

12 pink muffin pan liners

Follow all directions on the box for cupcakes

Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan

Bake according to directions

Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes



Frosting Directions:

White decorator gel

Two containers whipped strawberry frosting

Decorative sprinkles in rainbow colors



Frost each cupcake with strawberry frosting mounding it up in the center

Using the decorator gel, draw a crown on top of mound.

Sprinkle rainbow candies over the crown to resemble jewels

Serve with star shaped sandwiches and pour warm tea with sugar and cream into pretty china teacups with saucers.

3. Midnight Blues Cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350*

Ingredients:

One box vanilla cake mix

12 blue muffin liners

Prepare cup cakes according to instructions on box.

Bake according to directions

Remove from oven and cool 15 minutes



Frosting Directions:

One container Whipped cream frosting

One tube of blue decorator gel

Decorative sprinkles in blue



Frost each cupcake with whipped cream frosting

Using the blue decorator gel, draw the outline of a guitar onto each cup cake

Sprinkle with the blue colored candies. Serve berry blue colored fruit juice to drink.



Girls enjoy sleepovers so why not bake them some pajama theme cup cakes?



4. Sweet Dreams Cup cakes

Preheat oven to 350*

Ingredients:



One box lemon flavored cake mix

Red muffin pan liners

Follow directions on the box for cupcakes

Bake according to directions

Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes



Frosting directions:

One container creamy white frosting

Decorator gel in red and blue

Red white and blue decorative sprinkles



Frost each cupcake with prepared frosting

draw figures with pajama tops and bottoms with blue and red gels

Sprinkle the decorative candies inside the pajama figures. Serve with warm cocoa and miniature marshmallows.

5. Mean Green Jumping Thing Cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350*

Ingredients:

One box butter recipe cake mix

12 green foil cupcake liners

Prepare according to directions on box

Remove from oven and let cool 15 minutes



Frosting directions:

24 green gumdrops

24 candy corn shaped candies

One easy flow icing in green

One easy flow red icing

One decorating gel in black

One decorating gel in orange

Spread cupcakes with green icing



Place 2 gumdrops at the edge of each cupcake spaced apart evenly.

Directly in front of gumdrops place a candy corn. Press gently into icing point facing downward

Draw a large smile from one side to the other of each cupcake with orange gel.

Draw a red tongue on each cupcake with the red easy squeeze icing. Finally, add a fly at the tip of each tongue by dabbing black decorating icing.



Icing is the key part of any cupcake. To make the frosty tops truly unique, try implementing a decorating product such as sprinkles, or any colored confectionery. Each decorative product includes everything necessary to you to show off the talents you posses deep inside you.
