Also, check the state of the roof and the plumbing by turning on every tap make sure they work and take note of any issues such as taps which are difficult to turn off or which have impeded flow.
* If possible, its a good idea to go to a couple of local shops all government facilities to get an idea of things that are happening in the neighbourhood and whether or not there is a strong sense of community identity. Although this might not be important to every buyer it will certainly give you a better feel for the neighbourhood.
* The floor plan. One of the most important considerations is being able to fit into your new house comfortably. For this reason make sure you list your minimum expectations in terms of floor space for every room of the house. Make sure theres enough room for the parties you want to throw and for the guests you want to impress!
