: Powerful Tips On How To Set Up Bandit Signs To Get Motivated Sellers To Call You

By:

Okay we're talking about marketing to get sellers to call you. With the bandit signs, you're going to use traditionally the 18x24 inch signs.

Coroplast

You can get Coroplast or bandit signs produced at a number of places. You can get pre-made ones at Home Depot. The problem there is they don't have a lot of options in terms of We Buy Houses and things like that. They're also very expensive at Home Depot. They are typically going to cost $8, $10, $12 per sign, whereas if you go out to some of the better websites like Bandit.com, you can get them for maybe $1 to $2 a piece. I'll talk in a minute about how you can save even more money on top of that.

Color and Size

Two of the things we talk about are color and size. The bigger you can get your signs, the better. There are generally going to be two options in terms of color mixes. You're either going to have a white sign with blue or black letters - those work best. Your message across the top is going to be fairly thick. It may be as much as an inch thick or maybe ¾ of an inch thick in terms of the letters.

That sign you can typically see from 200-300' away to read it. It's really that good if it's a white sign with dark blue letters. It really stands out quite well. That's my preferred color scheme. You can use black letters. For whatever reason I actually think blue is more visible than black letters. I don't know why, but if you study signs a little bit it does seem to have a better visibility.

You could do the opposite. You would have a completely dark blue or black sign with white letters. That also works fairly well. I personally don't think it works as well, but it is fairly visible from a long way away.

You can get fancy if you want. You can get half the sign solid with white letters and the other half white with blue letters. You can do all that, but frankly in the end all that's going to cost you more money and probably doesn't add any value. Most traditional signs that you're going to buy off the shelf are going to have one or the other. Again, I use a white sign with blue letters. To me that is the best combination.

Main Message

On top you're going to have your main message. There are a couple of examples here. "We buy houses." That's tried and true. You can do, "Sell your house fast," or "I buy houses for cash." You can do "Avoid foreclosure." That's a very popular one today. You can put "Sell your house in 48 hours or 72 hours," something of that nature. That's an obvious benefit to somebody who might be facing foreclosure in the next week or so.

Those are all choices for a fairly succinct message that you put across the top. Then you'd have your phone number - preferably your 800 number. Then your website, if you can put that on the bottom.

Remember, people are not going to have the opportunity to write stuff down for the most part. It's best to keep it simple. If you've got a fairly simple website they can memorize or write down if they're at a stop sign.

If you've got a complex website it's probably not going to make much sense. If your website is four or five words or it's got some numbers in it, people are not going to have the opportunity to write that down and get much out of that. This is a different topic, but make sure your website is fairly easy to memorize and grasp fairly quickly.
