Join St Georges Day Celebration While Enjoying A Vacation At Holborn Hotels

St Georges Day is celebrated every year on 23rd of April. It is celebrated as an act of commemorating the death of Saint George. It is believed that Saint George existed during 300 A.D. and succumbed to death in 303A.D. Saint George was a solider in the Roman army, who according to the local believes fought with a dragon to save the princess from its clutches. There will be a theatre show at the Shakespeares Globe Theatre on 19th of April. Here can see a performance for family viewing. From 23rd to 26th of April, there will be musical evenings, performance by Prince Albert Players, and storytelling in costumes at the River Swale. There is a lot more in this celebration. There will be waging of swords. Although the St Georges celebration is not a national holiday, the celebration does not lack in fervor.
